Mount Claremont Farmers' Market is Perth's original farmers' market, featuring fresh produce from paddock to plate, enabling interaction between the producer and the consumer, providing authentic food and a meeting place, creating community for all ages. Founded in 2006, the majority of stallholders attend weekly or fortnightly, bringing authentic, great tasting local produce. A not-for-profit run by the Mount Claremont Primary School P&C Association, operation of the markets provides funds for the markets' operation and infrastructure, and funds for running school programs, buying equipment, and helping to maintain and upgrade the school.
