The Bentleigh Farmers' Market is proudly managed by the East Bentleigh Primary School/Parent Committee. It was once a market garden site and the vision is for it to become a vibrant monthly family/community farm fresh produce market with 55-65 stallholders. The market is part of the school's philosophy of creating a nurturing environment for the students to learn and grow, which includes a guide to healthy eating and the importance of sustainable farming practises. Entry is by a $2 donation, with funds collected going towards the school garden program. To reduce plastic waste, visitors are encouraged to bring their own trolley, basket and bags.
